Yes. Joel can coordinate with the venue and its existing piano or sound system when available.
How long does setup take?
Typical setup takes about 45 minutes, and less than that when Joel is using an in-house piano.

A suitable performance space, nearby power, and a covered, weather-protected area for outdoor events are generally all that is needed.

Classically trained from age six, Joel Brandon brings 35 years of musicianship and 20 years of professional performance to the piano. His music moves effortlessly through jazz, pop, soul, rock, and classical repertoire.
From intimate dinner parties to weddings and corporate occasions, Joel has played hundreds of events. He brings the same care to every performance: beautiful music, a feel for the room, and a natural connection with his audience.
Based in Annapolis, Maryland, his experience spans private events, restaurants, bars, music venues, and churches. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition/Vocal Performance from Messiah University and a Master of Music in Media Writing and Production from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.

Joel Brandon was exactly what we needed for our event, the Valentino Memorial Service. This service is the oldest annual event in Hollywood history. We wanted a polished, professional singer/pianist who could impress not only our attendees, but the 3,100 people who watched the service on Facebook Live. Joel showed up on time, played the requested songs and has a great voice. He even added background music before/after. Needless to say, everyone was pleased with Joel Brandon. Highly recommended.
Joel was AMAZING!!!! He has played for two of my birthday parties. He can play a huge list of songs. Everyone can sing along. One of my parties was a wine party and he was the perfect ambiance. He has such a great voice and he is so talented on the piano. We will definitely be hiring him again!!!!! If you are looking for some live music for a party or event definitely hire him.
Joel played piano and sang at our son's wedding, and honestly I don't know where to begin. I guess most importantly he's incredibly talented - both at piano and singing. His list of songs was perfect, and he also learned a couple songs for the wedding, and nailed them. But apart from all that, Joel is relaxed, friendly, easy going and helped create a wonderful vibe for the wedding. The music was great and thanks to Joel we had FUN!! As I said in the headline, he made the wedding. (Oh, and he showed up on time and is reliable as well.)
Joel was the perfect addition to my wife’s 40th birthday party. He set the mood during the cocktail hour with classical and jazz standards, then after dinner kicked things up a notch with a mix of pop and rock songs from the past 4 decades that had guests singing and dancing along. We’d hire him again; he’s talented and was very professional to work with.
Joel was absolutely magnificent playing and singing for more than 2 hours at our event. In fact, everyone was having such a good time that we extended his time at the end, because it would have been a shame to cut off his performance as the audience was really into that atmosphere that his playing and singing created. Joel was extremely professional and also very easy to work with, I look forward to working again with him in the future.
Joel Brandon was amazing. He performed for my Mother's 70th birthday brunch of around 50 guests. I asked that he'd play comfortable background dining music and he knew exactly what to play without skipping a beat. He amazed all of us with his beautiful voice and very talented keyboard playing. Joel was also nice enough to share a playlist of some of his songs and the many songs I recognized were played so well. Joel was a professional from start to finish, he showed up early to setup, he was clean cut and well dressed, and always stayed in contact prior to the event which assured me that he would not be a no show.
